Gardening and growing

A spot of gardening can not only help you get more active it can also help you get your recommended five portions of fruit and veg a day.

How can I learn more about growing my own?

The Seedlings are a great place to start they'll be able to share advice and info on growing your own fruit and veg at home or on an allotment. They are looking for budding and experienced gardeners across the district. If you want to know more give Aine Welsh a call on 01924 299815 or email a.welsh@btcv.org.uk or visit www.btcv.org.uk.

If you live in Eastmoor there's also a beautiful community garden in the heart of Eastmoor. There are fruit trees, bulbs, veg and much more growing there and it's available for events, meetings, community gatherings and BBQs. Stephen Flicker is the man who can help if you are interested in finding out more. Give Stephen a call on 01924 259982 or 07803 184300 or email stephen.flicker@tiscali.co.uk
