Cook4Life

If you want to learn how to cook then perhaps our Cook4Life sessions are for you?

What are Cook4Life sessions and who can go?

Cook4Life session are about getting families across the district together having fun creating healthy meals. They are for all ages for children, parents, carers and grandparents.

You get to have a go at preparing and cooking a different dish each week, pass on recipes, get advice on how to introduce 5 fruit and veg a day into children's diets and we help people unravel just what's in the food they are buying, how much sugar and salt, that type of thing. There's no lecturing it's just sharing skills and knowledge to help you make more informed choices about the food you eat.

Zoe Liddle of Castleford based Floury Fingers Ltd runs the sessions.

Where are they?

They are being held in different venues across the Airedale, Kinsley and Fitzwilliam and Eastmoor and central Wakefield areas. To find out where your next and nearest sessions are being held call Rachel Wilcox on 01924 315771 or email Rachel.wilcox@wdpct.nhs.uk
