Change4Life

Change4Life is a nationwide movement designed to help people make changes to their lifestyles, so that they can eat well, move more and live longer.

We're supporting Change4Life

Did you know that if we carry on as we are, 9 out of 10 of today's kids risk growing up with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies? This can cause serious illnesses like heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes in later life. So it's really important that we all get together and do something about it, now.

That's why NHS Wakefield District is supporting Change4Life. It's a nationwide movement which aims to help us all, but especially our kids, eat well, move more and live longer.

We all want our children to grow up to be happy, healthy adults. But it can sometimes be hard to know how. Change4Life is all about making small changes to help your kids build healthy bodies.

Locally TAP (Three Areas Project) into Change4Life provides lots of different activities and opportunities around healthy eating and activity. It's got everything from providing low cost fresh fruit and veg to dance mats, sport in a van, cooking lessons and much more. It's joint-funded by NHS Wakefield District and Wakefield Council and is focused on three areas - Kinsley and Fitzwilliam, Airedale and Ferry Fryston and Eastmoor and central Wakefield.

If you'd like to take that first step towards getting yourself or your kids eating well, moving more and living longer, TAP into Change4Life is a good place to start. To find out more click on the menu bar of activities to the left of this page.
