Physical Activities team

Taking regular, moderate physical activity is really important to staying fit, healthy and well.

It can:

  • make you feel good about yourself;
  • give you more energy;
  • help you sleep better;
  • help reduce stress;
  • keep your heart strong;
  • reduce blood pressure;
  • help manage your weight; and
  • help you to live longer.

We recognise the importance of physical activity here at the PCT and try to provide lots of different opportunities to help people get more active. Our Physical Activities team play an important part in this work. This section of our website is dedicated to their work, much of which is in partnership with other local organisations such as Wakefield District Metropolitan Council.

To find out how we can help you to make physical activity part of our daily routine just click on the links on the left-hand menu bar.
