Procurement Opportunities
Formal Tenders (Healthcare Services)
Formal tenders for healthcare services which NHS Wakefield District is commissioning are advertised on the NHS Supply2Health website
. Details of how to express an interest in the opportunities are included in the advertisements.
Any Willing Provider
The Trust's "Any Willing Providers" process has been developed in line with the Department of Health national guidance.
The process is designed to establish whether or not a Provider meets the service specification. This is not a tendering process; all providers meeting the specification will be approved. "Willing Provider" status carries no commitment from NHS Wakefield District in terms of service activity volumes or financial commitment.
Each service has a detailed specification which has been formally approved by the PCT. All "Any Willing Providers" opportunities will be advertised on the NHS Supply2Health website
. Details of how to express an interest in the opportunities are included in the advertisements.
Extended and Free Choice Networks
The Department of Health contract for Extended and Free Choice Networks on choose and book is coming to an end 31 March 2010.
These services are to be procured through the 'Any Willing Provider model' by Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). NHS Wakefield is jointly advertising for expressions of interest in these services through Supply2Health with NHS Kirklees and NHS Calderdale PCTs. The advertisement can be found on the Supply2Health website
, and it explains how to make an expression of interest and the services being procured.
