Get involved
Would you like to get involved?
We are committed to providing health services that are based on the needs and priorities of local people. We want to listen and work closely with you when we make decisions about health services.
People in our district know what needs to be improved about the way we work and the services we provide and pay for. They also know what works well. By listening to your ideas this will mean we will be able to:
- design services which you need and want to use;
- give you more control over your own health; and
- help you to have more trust and confidence in us.
If you would like to become involved in the planning and development of local health services we would like to hear from you. There are a variety of ways in which you can have your say:
- attend regular meetings to help develop existing services;
- attend consultations on potential changes to health services;
- take part in surveys and complete questionnaires;
- review leaflets and information for patients to ensure they are 'patient friendly'; and
- become a member of a patient group where you will have the chance to suggest ideas for improvement.
You can be involved in these areas as much or as little as you wish - it's up to you.
